Colourlock Stitch-Covering Gel (20ml)

The Colourlock Stitch-Covering Gel is used to cover contrasting stitches prior to leather colouring. Furniture upholstery and car leather often has stitching that contrasts with the base colour, and also happens with clothing and bags. Dyeing these leather items while preserving the original colour of the stitches is a challenge, but with stitch-covering gel and a steady hand, it can be done.

Unlike tape, the gel covers only the area that is not to be dyed – Stitch-Covering Gel wraps completely around the thread and dye cannot reach the thread from the side. Once dry (6 hours at room temperature, or 1 to 2 minutes with a hairdryer at 130℃), leather can be dyed as normal – simply peel off the thread protection gel to remove.
