Polishing pads are designed to be used in conjunction with a machine polisher in order to apply liquid compound to a surface. When machine polishing your paintwork, choosing the right car polishing pads is key. The stiffness of a foam polishing pad will have a different effect on the paintwork surface, the heavier the cut, the more abrasive the pad will be. We have a range of pads from coarse to ultra fine as well as wool pads and those specifically made for glass surfaces. 

Microfibre polishing pads are made from long or short fibres usually attached to a firm backing plate such as foam or cloth. Microfibre is less capable of absorbing residue but provides more friction and pressure during the polishing process. Generally, microfibres contour easily to all surfaces, including curved, with superb cutting power. Microfibre pads are designed for use with a dual action machine polisher to provide increased levels of cut over standard foam pads. Great on harder paints and for quick correction.

The Lake Country Microfibre Cutting Pad is made with a blue foam backing and white microfiber front. These unique materials allow for industry leading cutting abilities. However, the fibres will mat down slower than other microfibre pads resulting in reduced pad temperatures. Designed to have minimal overhang for precision polishing and even pressure; 11mm thickness provides increased durability and perfect rotation on contoured surfaces.

Meguiar's DA microfiber system is a brand new development in correction using a dual action polisher. When these pads were introduced they really could be described as a game changer. Used in conjunction with Meguiar's DA Microfiber correction compound and finishing polishes it's possible to achieve near rotary levels of correction with ease. The Meguiar's DA microfiber system was the highlight products of 2011 for us as it allows the enthusiast to correct even tough paints like those found on VW, Audi, Mercedes and BMW to correct swirls and scratches with much less effort.
