Application areas: Worn classic car leather
Recommended use: Before you treat your leather, it must be thoroughly cleaned. Fill the empty foamer bottle with Leather Cleaner mild and apply the foam to a sponge – do not apply directly to the leather. Clean the leather from seam to seam with the foam; the leather cleaning brush makes it easier to remove heavy soiling deep within the grain. Lightly dampen the included cloth and remove dirt and cleaning residue, then let the leather dry completely. Repeat the cleaning process if necessary.
Do not apply the Old Leather Softener until the leather is completely dry. Apply a small amount of Old Leather Softener to the second sponge or a clean cloth, applying evenly to the leather and rub in before letting the leather rest for at least 24 hours at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight and cold temperatures – park the vehicle in a sheltered area if possible. Repeat the application if necessary, at a maximum of 3 treatments. After the absorption time, remove any excess product with Leather Cleaner mild and proceed as described in the above paragraph.
For final surface care, apply a small amount of Elephant Leather Preserver to a cloth and spread it evenly without applying pressure, letting the leather grease soak in overnight. The next day, polish thoroughly to restore the leather's natural texture. Regular, sparing maintenance (every 6 - 12 months) eliminates the need for later applications of Old Leather Softener. It's better to condition more often but sparingly – over conditioning can seal the leather and cause damage.
