Automotive wax is a final stage protective product that is used to protect surfaces from outside contaminants. The main ingredient in high quality waxes is Brazilian carnauba wax or beeswax. Carnauba wax is very hard, it helps to give glass and paintwork a reflective shine and high gloss finish. Beeswax is softer and works to give colours a warm glow.

Regular waxing of a vehicle can help to maintain and preserve the clearcoat. This clearcoat is the protective layer which acts as a barrier against corrosive elements, including snow, rain, street salt, ultraviolet rays, bird droppings, and tree sap, among other contaminants. Car wax enhances a previously polished surface by filling in any imperfections to create a smoother, reflective surface. Polishing and waxing go hand in hand to complement each other and maintain the appearance of your vehicle’s exterior.

Waxes can come in a variety of forms; we have paste waxes, liquid waxes, and even some spray waxes as well as specialty wheel waxes. Paste wax often comes in a tub and can be applied via a microfibre or foam polish applicator pad. Liquid waxes can be applied in the same way, some liquid waxes can be used through a snow foam cannon for easy, touchless waxing. Spray waxes are convenient to use but may not provide as long protection as pastes.
