COVID-19 Service Update

Slim’s Shops Update

With lockdown restrictions slowly lifting across the country we are looking at the possibility of opening our shops back up for you to browse all your favourite products in one place.

This is unlikely to happen before the end of June as we continue to be very busy at both locations despatching online orders and have completely rearranged the layouts of both premises to offer more picking and packing space.

Several of our suppliers have only recently reopened and are slowly getting stock into us and some of our International suppliers have product on the water headed to us to restock our shelves.

We want to have everything perfect for you and also to make the shops a safe environment for you and our staff, we will keep you informed and hope to see you all safely soon.

3/6/2020 Update

 

Like all businesses we are experiencing unprecedented difficulties not seen in the 63 years we have been established. Our amazingly committed staff’s safety is our priority and the social distancing laws are being strictly abided to which is slowing down some of our processes. Our dedicated couriers are also doing an incredible job delivering our parcels and in most areas are managing to do this almost as quickly as normal but in some areas I know they are struggling with staff but still continue to deliver a quick service for which we applaud them. We cannot guarantee next day delivery at the moment but will continue to do our best to get your products to you efficiently and quickly.

Currently we have okay stocks of most of our products but with ranges coming from such places as America, South Korea, China, Taiwan and Germany and with a few of our UK based suppliers being shut some of our product ranges are getting stretched. However we are fortunate that we have lots of choice for our customers so if you cannot find the cloth, shampoo or wax that you usually purchase there should be a highly creditable alternative. If you would like a recommendation then you can email our customer service who will advise you as quickly as possible. Please do be patient with them as they are experiencing much higher levels of calls and emails at the moment but are still managing to respond with 24 hours during our working week, Mon-Fri. We are not open Saturday or Sunday.

7/4/2020 Update 

 

Morelli Group is doing everything we can to help keep your customers on the road.

Following recent announcements from the Government, we wanted to get in touch with repairers as soon as possible to let you know that, whilst it may not be quite business as usual, we are still doing our best to maintain our usual service levels. We know that your business relies on our ability to provide products and expertise at speed and at scale, so we’re working hard to keep Morelli Group running safely and responsibly.

We are making some immediate changes to our operation:

  1. We will not open our branches for trade counter sales but collections can be arranged in advance by telephone at some branches and will be placed outside on customer arrival. Our Enfield shop is no longer able to offer customer collections (updated 09/4/2020).
  2. Some of our branches have been closed temporarily and their phones diverted to other local branches. We will continue to deliver products on our normal delivery vehicles but we may choose to use couriers as things continue to develop. We may have to introduce small delivery charges if this is the case. Contact your local branch their details can be found here https://morelli.co.uk/group/branch-finder
  3. Key customers such as Blue Light, AA patrols, government agency and their key worker support vehicles will always take priority if we are in a position where stock or supply becomes limited. Please let us know when you contact us if you fall into one of these categories.
  4. Customers who do not already hold a credit account will be asked to pay by card in advance, rather than cash or cheque.

At the time of writing, we have good stocks of our core product ranges.

Our online stores www.morelli.co.uk and www.slimsdetailing.co.uk are open for business and customers who are already ordering through our trade portals can continue to do so.

In the coming days, we may need to make some operational changes to our business as the situation develops, but we will keep you informed as to how this will affect you and if there are any process changes you need to know about.
