1 Product, 5 Uses: Koch-Chemie's Green Star
Koch-Chemie Green Star is a highly-concentrated, alkaline-based universal cleaner designed for a multitude of uses - heavy on the universal. The formula is phosphate- and solvent-free with excellent concentration rates (up to 1:30!), making a little go a long way. Use on car interiors, exteriors, engine bays, and more!
At £7.07 per litre, Green Star is excellent value for money and well worth having in your detailing kit. So, how can you use it?
Pre-Wash
Green Star has enormous dirt and oil carrying capacity making it possible for use as a pre-wash to clean vehicle exteriors of heavy contaminations. Dilute at 1:5 - 1:30 and apply over the whole surface of the vehicle using a snow foam lance. Allow the blanket of Green Star to react for a short time before using a high-pressure cleaner to rinse off thoroughly.
You can also mix Green Star into your snow foam to improve the cleaning power and target more heavily soiled areas of the vehicle.
Interior Plastics & Rubbers
To keep your dash and trim in tip-top condition, use a 1:10 to 1:20 solution of Green Star in a spray bottle. Spray onto the affected areas and allow the product to target dirt particles and other grime. Agitate with a soft detailing brush for heavier soiled areas if necessary before wiping with a soft, clean microfibre cloth.
Follow with: Top Star to leave behind a semi-gloss, natural sheen and protect plastic against dirt and UV rays.
For more contaminated areas, such as brake pedals, use a stiffer brush like the Koch-Chemie Nail Brush to help Green Star properly penetrate dirt layers.
To use as a maintenance wipe down for interior surfaces, you can spray a diluted solution directly onto the microfibre and wipe over.
For rubber floor mats, try using a drill brush to properly lift and remove embedded dirt and grime from the surface. Then, using a pressure washer, blast off to leave mats looking brand new.
Follow with: Gummifix to restore a 'like-new' look to rubber floor mats.

Textiles & Fabrics
Green Star can also be used on interior textiles and fabrics to remove any staining and freshen up the material. Using a 1:10 to 1:20 solution, spray onto an upholstery brush and work into the affected area. Pat dry with a clean microfibre towel and allow the residue to evaporate, or use a wet vac to extract.
If using on seats, leave to thoroughly dry before sitting on them as the area may stay damp for a while.
Follow with: Colourlock Allround Textile Sealant to protect against water, dirt, and stains and leave a hydrophobic layer onto fabrics.

Engine Bay
One of the best ways to clean your engine bay! Use Green Star in a 1:5 - 1:10 solution in a spray bottle and apply to areas directly. Use a detailing brush to agitate and then use a steam cleaner to rinse, being careful of any electrical areas. Wipe down with a clean microfibre cloth
Follow with: Motorplast to protect from corrosion and environmental factors with the permanently elastic protective film.

Pad Cleaner
Wash your polishing pads by hand. Wet the pad thoroughly with a Green Star diluted at 1:20. Let the pads soak for a while, allowing remaining polish residues to be loosened from the foam, before running them under lukewarm (NOT hot) water. Gently knead and squeeze until the water runs clear and enjoy getting the best out of your pads.
You can also soak pads in a 1:20 Green Star solution before popping them in the washing machine on a gentle, low temperature cycle.

There you have it; one of the most versatile products you could ever wish for. Koch-Chemie Green Star can do all this and more!
P.S. You can also use for household chores - clean trainers, kitchen floors, cabinets, and other surfaces.
