1. Squeaky Clean
First things first, it's important to start with a good, ammonia-free glass cleaner. It is too easy for a cleaner to leave streaks and a smeary finish behind.
Most vehicle glass cleaners on the market are IPA-based meaning they are made with Isopropyl Alcohol. IPA is used to remove leftover compound after polishing, making it a good formula for removing oils and dirt from glass surfaces.

2. Wipe on, wipe off
It might seem a no-brainer to use a normal microfibre cloth you have lying around on your glass but oftentimes it can be a mistake. When not used correctly, microfibre cloths can cause unwanted streaks and smearing, making what's supposed to be a a quick job more labour intensive than you want it to be.
Getting a crystal-clear finish on glass can sometimes be more challenging than necessary. That's why it's important to get yourself a dedicated Glass Cloth to make sure you're taking all the right precautions.

5. One direction - bonus tip
A top tip for glass cleaning is to clean in different directions inside and out. Wipe the outside of the glass in a vertical, up and down, motion and the inside of the glass with a horizontal, side to side, motion. This makes it easier to identify any potential smear marks and know whether they are on the inside or the outside.
Eliminate the constant confusion of seeing a smear, wiping the outside, noticing the smear is still there, wiping the inside, etc. etc.
