Spring Clean Your Vehicle

Spring Clean Your Vehicle

A "spring clean" traditionally refers to deep cleaning homes from all the grime and dirt that has accumulated over the winter months. But why stop at your home? Extend spring cleaning and take care of your second largest purchase!

Winter takes a huge toll on our vehicles - inside and out. Exterior surfaces get contaminated with mud, grime, and road salt, whilst the interior becomes victim to whatever you bring into the vehicle on floor mats, seats, and more.

Spring is a great time to deep clean those harder to reach areas as the weather starts getting warmer (hopefully), brighter evenings mean days get longer, and people become more encouraged to be active. All these factors create a great opportunity to give your car a deep clean. Take a look at some of our spring detailing recommendations and necessary products from pre-wash and shampoo, to coatings and interior cleaners.

Declutter & Vacuum

Get rid of any accumulated rubbish in your vehicle. From spare clothes to empty cans, give your interior a clean start to the new season. Hoover up any loose dirt from floors, seats, gear sticks, centre consoles, and more before you use any chemicals for cleaning.

Floor Mats & Fabric Seats

Floor mats fall victim to everything you bring inside the vehicle on your feet. Grime, mud, rain, road salt, and more gets embedded into floor mats. Once vacuumed up, these surfaces can be cleaned using a dedicated cleaner and protected against further contamination. Don't forget to clean and protect fabric seats from future spills and stains.

Interior Surface Cleaning

Dashboards, centre consoles, touchscreens, steering wheels, rubber floor mats - all interior surfaces that we may neglect to clean in the winter. From plastic, rubber, and vinyl, to leather and more, we can help you spruce up your cab for that fresh spring feeling.

Interior Surface Protection

Protect your cleaned interior surfaces with an interior dressing for extended life and that like-new feel. A lot of interior dressings will have built-in UV inhibitors which are handy as we move into the warmer months to prevent interior leathers and plastics from fading and discolouration.

Pre-Wash & Snow Foam

If you haven't been on top of your winter maintenance wash (we won't hold it against you), it's a safe bet your vehicle will need a deep decontamination. Snow foam and pre-wash can be used in collaboration with each other but you typically only need to use one or the other. Get the deepest clean with our recommended products below.

Contact Wash

Conduct your regular contact wash to thoroughly remove all contaminants from the surface. Remember your two (or three, with wheels) bucket method, and always use a grit guard.

Spray Sealant

If you're exhausted from spring cleaning your car, end the process quickly and easily by using a spray sealant. Get instant results and provide a hydrophobic protective barrier in no time at all!

Refresh Microfibres

It is important to clean your towels and cloths properly after months of winter use in order to maintain them and keep their performance levels high. Microfibre wash can help to loosen contaminants and polish residue from microfibres, giving them a new lease of life for spring use.

Don't let spring cleaning stop in your home, bring the practice into the detailing world and give your car a deep clean this spring.
